Healthcare
Every New Mexican should have quality Universal Healthcare. It
is our moral obligation to take care of each other. This is the
wealthiest country in the world, it is a disgrace that 40 million
Americans do not have healthcare. I support a Universal, Single-Payer
system of National Health Insurance just like Representative Heather
Wilson receives from the tax payer. If it is good enough for Rep.
Wilson it is good enough for all New Mexicans. A single payer
system puts the choice in the patients hands rather than a HMO
or Insurance company. Preventive care is the key element thereby
reducing costs in the long term. All Americans deserve a comprehensive
and affordable prescription drug benefit plan.
Women’s Issues
Equal economic opportunities with equal pay
Protect women’s rights to reproductive choice (Constitutionally
Protected)
Stop violence against women and their dependants (sexual assault
and domestic violence)
