Our campaign will focus on our air, our land and our water so we can enjoy our prosperity. I have been a Sierra Club member for many years! I will fight to defend the enforcement of the Clean Air Act, and the Endangered Species Act. I will fight to prevent corporations from logging, mining and other damaging industries that will destroy our “Land of Enchantment.” I will standup and speak out against the Bush Administration and its allies in Congress who are willing to sacrifice our natural resources and our health to help their friends in big business ($$). It is time to hold them accountable! We have the right to know the presence of harmful toxic chemicals and waste in our communities. Bush has violated our trust and continues his assault on the environment.

Key Priorities:

• Tax incentives for clean business.
• Tougher emission standards for Corporations.
• Tougher emissions standards for private, commercial and government vehicles.
• Fines on environmental offenders by the EPA (strictly enforced).
• Protecting the Greater Otero Mesa Area from oil drilling.
• Protecting Artic National Wild Life Refuge from oil development.
• Adhere to the Kyoto global warming treaty.
• Air and Water pollution.
• New Mexico's water shortage.
• Promote the use of fuel-efficient vehicles through tax incentives (Hybrid Vehicles).
• Promote the use of renewable energy; solar and wind.
• Support Superfund tax on corporate polluters.
